Hi,
Hopefully a quick question.
I'm shortly to lay a concrete slab to go under a new suspended timber floor.
It will be 100mm thick on 150mm compacted MOT. Does that slab need reinforcing with a steel mesh?

Cheers
Tim

this is just a building regulation requirement, normally leanmix is used for this
the idea is to stop weeds infestation and also to give a stable barrier to stop rodents etc tunnelling up from underneath
it is taking no loading so does not need mesh or rebar
LLL :)
