Yet more help from the experts required....

OK - patio project is progressing (slowly...)

Starting to think about final details....

I want to create a border between my patio dwarf retaining wall and the lawn.....

I want a border of slate chippings between the wall and the lawn (a foot or so wide.....) and possibly with a curved, neat edge.

I've looked at products such as 'RITE EDGE' and 'SMART EDGE' which will give a neat, sharp edge whilst not being seen....

Is anyone familiar with these products? Any good? Or can you recommend a better alternative?

Thanks in advance!

I have used ever edge a fair few times and its pretty good. Expensive but then they all are.

It also has a good range of colours and depths thicknesses etc

Best way in my opinion to finish the lawn edge, is with a block paviour level with the lawn, to make it easier to run the lawn mower over, no strimming and no chippings getting scattered all over.

Actually - thats a very good option which I'd originally ruled out (well - the use of yorkstone setts, actually...) may be I should reconsider.

Thanks....

Thanks for all the advice on this......I think I'm going to go with Yorkstone setts, 150mm wide set on a 6:1 mix to keep em solid. Many thanks.

....which is why they are about to disappear as that whole page is dragged into the 21st century!

Can't understand how that has slipped through the 'review and upgrade' net which is supposed to happen at least once every 3 years.

It'll be gone by this afternoon, though - buggerall else to do in this sodding rain!
