I have a small 1.5t digger out on hire and it is staying at the site overnight. The homeowners are away and the houses nearby have large gardens and longish drives. Chances are no-one knows its there as its not visible from the road but I'd like to just add some chains and or locks for good measure to at least slow down a potential thief.
What is the best method? Oh and not much to chain it to.
Thanks

Chains and padlocks only keep out the honest man

Chains and padlocks are no deterrent.
Disable the engine by a suitable means. Remove battery?

i take the battery and some fuses out, maybe block it in with a van.

took out main fuses and pulled a well hidden cable in the engine bay which goes to the fuel pump.
Thanks for the advice
