I'm looking at a redecoration for the new year next door to one that I'm just wrapping up now. Does anyone have a suggestion for repairing a render corbel that has a crack at the top inside corner where it joins the wall? The crack is currently filled with mastic from it's last re-dec, but the paint on the wall below the corbel is blistering which I can only assume is water getting behind the moulding.
The one next door was falling off and had to be replaced but I was wandering if helifix and epoxy resin would be a sound repair before repairing the crack in the render. The rest of the render feels sound and it's thousands of pounds to replace that the customer might not wear.
Anyone here set a precedent?
Cheers,
Fez.
