It's not as good as SBR then?

Found a supplier near me for Larsen and the gun pointing stuff , it comes in at 22.50 plus vat, this priming slurry stuff is 19.00 plus vat.

We've tested it out on some of our setts. I wasnt hugely impressed with it. If you've got one of those belt sanders like Cookie then it might be ok but otherwise I wouldnt use it.

I think he is on about using this as a bond bridge rather than a jointing product.

I have used the larsen FJM and it went off so fast i could barely believe it. Mixed it with the paddle and then gave another spray to the paving and lifted the bucket to pour it into a watering can for applying and it was already too firm to come out.

Without a lot more testing and trialing it its not something i would consider using on a larger job but due to it being so cheap it's certainly a useful product for little varying joints and fill areas when marrying up to existing wonky kerbs etc.

it must be nobody has used it as a bond bridge.

I was just curious to see if it was better than SBR.

i was speaking to a retired building inspector from yorkshire today and he said he was specifying SBR in roof mortar (ridges, verges, hips) way back in the 1960s
it really is good stuff

Been using slurry grouts for years now, never had a cleaning problem( not since we first ever used it and learned to keep our eyes on it), we just keep a hose misting on to it and wash off onto the sub-base with a cheap pressure washer. Certainly never had to use a belt sander, just water. We normally give the whole area a good wash off with Stone cleaner and a yard brush and the washer for a final clean.
SBR all the way LLL, sorts most things, but not great for the tools if you don't keep on top of cleaning, we get through a barrel a year I reckon, the scrap men love us!!
