hi all I have a massive amount of crushed concrete (20,000 tons) and im looking to get some or all of it screened to produce some type 1 and some larger lumps to use in soakaways or whatever. the crusher produce lumps from about 120mm down to dust and everything in between. what type of screener is best to hire for this? is it possible to screen this in one pass? perhaps if the screener had two conveyors?
thanks

you'll need a 2 way screen, they do 2,3,4 way screens but tromel will split the large stuff from the mot size grading, shame as it would have been cheaper to run the crusher into the screen rather than re handling. then that screen into another and you could have upto 5 gradings of size, where abouts are you, our local one has just bought a load of screens, best speaking to the hire firms they'll know whats best for you.

our waste firm has a screener and it is an expensive large bit of kit
a farmer wanted to make a car park and he had around 100 8 wheeler loads,as is
to sell as type 1 i believe it has to be 38mm down to fines (or summat like that)

Tcp hire a three way screener. They are not in Scotland though, so not sure where you could hire.

thanks. it was hard enough to get along with the crusher guy and the equiptment dont think we could have handled a screener as well. the handling doesnt cost much as we have our own digger and we dont need all of the crushed concrete screened. if we could do do 1000 tons then thats 50 lorry loads of type 1 so that would keep us going for a while. we are based in scotland.
