anyone had any experience or recommend a good system for a beam and block balcony over habitable space.

looking like hot bitumen or grp, engineer is coping out big style on this one, im researching now but wondered if any first hand experience.

so at mo the detail we have is

My dad uses a guy for grp and he gives customers 25yr on it. Laid well its good gear

My wife had lots of problems with leaks in her new build flat from a balcony above it, it took Redrow 8 years to sort it out sending in lots of different trades people and replacing the ceiling many times.

It turned out that the sealing under the door on the balcony was poor and rain could blow under it.

What I am saying it is that is normally the “joints� that get you with any tanking.
