Hi, I was wondering if someone could give me some advise regarding a Tarmac overlay.

I have approx 30 square metres of concrete that I want overlaying with tarmac, and approx 5 square metres that requires the sub base also, what would you say is a fair price for this work.

Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head somewhere in the £1700 region plus vat - it depends upon access etc etc

Overlaying concrete with tarmac isn't ideal.......

Only other (better) option is to rip up the concrete and start afresh - but that isn't always possible.

@ Dave_L,
Ripping up the concrete is not an option as this would be a nightmare to do but thanks for the advice.
@ Colordrives
As for the estimated price I also thought it was a little high as it works out at approx £50 per square metre. Im in North Staffs, (Stoke on Trent) if that makes a difference.

Thanks again

5m2 area to excavate reduce level load and cart arisings, install 150-200mm subase, 50mm binder, sweep, tack, regulate and then overlay with a decent thickness to get a decent finish on concrete - it all adds up!

depends what your overheads are really.
its more important to get a proper job than a cheap one
colordrives and dave L are probably too far away for you, look for recent examples of work, and never get anyone that knocks on your door to do it
