I am building a workshed - concrte base, blockwork up to windowbase level, timber top and metal sheet sloping roof.I would like to know what depth of concrete(fibre re-enforced) is required? The slab is 5m x 3m.Any tips will be appreciated. :D

100mm will be plenty. unless you are planning on parking a chieftain tank inside, in which case go for 150mm

at 100mm, you need 1.5cum of readymix

Are you using steel or glass fibres if it's glass i'd think about an 8mm steel reinforcing mesh just to guarantee no cracks.

sounds like a bit of eeight going on the slab. You really need a proper foundation for brick/blockwork, so a thickening would be best under walls.

Glass fibres-reported to be stronger overal.I am still unsure what depth of concrete is needed though.I do'nt want to get it wrong, that would be a disaster.

If you are worried then overengineer it - deeper than necessary base.
