An aquaintance of mine is having trouble with a self binding gravel driveway (200m x 4m). Has aquired several patches of nasty potholes. An "engineer" has told him this is due to inadequate drainage, despite most of it not being level anyway. I am more inclined to believe it's due to the contractor not using a correct sub base underneath and laying the SBG over the old farm track.
Any thoughts?

take a look where the potholes are scrape back the sides and see what the build up is may be pockets of type1 without dust in :;): :;):
