10 by 6 = 9 M3 at 150mm thick of crete = £720 +vat

3 tonne digger plus driver for 1 + banksman = £400+ vat

1 muck away load =£250 +vat

mesh (approx) = £100 +vat

supply and fix shutter and joints = £200 +vat

lay concrete and clear site = £250 +vat

profit times 2? +25% your choice =???????????

£1930 +vat before profit

cheers LLL

starting a 6x7 raft tomorrow with a 13m x2m x 250mm thick concrete wall tomorrow best part of £5500 provisional before breaking ground then £8 a ton muck away

steel alone 5xa193 5 x 1393 70 x code 11 shapes 200 concrete 40mm spacers, 20m tomberone mesh spacers = £766 alone

if the engineer has spec it its easy to price, as its a raft then it must have been speced but just saying 10x6 is vague

a sheet off A252 is around £35-40 for 2.4x4.8m sheet 2 layers 12 sheets allowing for lap £480 for mesh, most rafts in this area are 200mm thick and 450mm x300mm edge beam +middle beams,
thats with out cut and bent steel for beams, in this area due to peat at 2m you could double that price Tony MSH :)

lads haggi asked for a ball park so thats what i gave him

last constructional raft we did was 2 layers and a cage around the toe, 300mm thick on the flat and 600 deep on the toe by 450 wide
building over an old rubbish dump 10M of bad ground
I only allowed 5 sheets and i did say approx,I know steel is racking up price wise all the time
need a drawing for stuff like that
cheers LLL :)

as a follow on to this thread, we have a school job coming up at easter
approx 1 weeks work for 7 blokes

anyway we have submitted our risk assessment and HS plan

but have now been told we must have an office, drying room ,and toilet on site, along with 100M of arris fencing
this little shebang adds £500 to 1 weeks work straight off
you have to bear these incidentals in mind when pricing

yeah welfare unit for the lads, hot water etc coat drying etc, we bought our own porta loo for ease and get it on a weekly clean and suck out from a company, we've got enough herras fencing to do twice rd a rugby pitch, had to do it when we built a stand make a 2 metre walkway all the way rd so got about 300 herras panels stacked behind the barn, shame your down sarth tony. theres £400 in ply to shutter that wall in my job, renting shutters was not much cheaper than making them

my mate owns a demolition company and gets phoned every year after "T in the Park" music festival asking if would like to buy any heras fencing.

why do i call it arris fencing? LOL
new one today,as well as the 1.8M haerras fence we need another 1 metre fence 900 away to stop the little horrors getting close to the herras!!!!!

also any gap under the heras has to be boarded and secured to stop them inscaping to our work area

and its blooming half term!!!

LLL
