Sent our apprentice up to our dump to load the skip with green waste and brash with our front loader.

The wagon driver flagged us down later in the week when he came to collect it. Apparently his hooklift can lift a max load of 24 tonnes, but has a max road legal load of around 15 tonnes. His wagon couldn't get it off the ground.

Sorry for the quality of the photo, it was knocking off time on Friday

What he'd done, is instead of loading the lighter bulky stuff, he compacted all the rotted stuff into the skip.

The Biffa bloke came back and dropped a smaller skip for him to empty it into, and he (Biffa) tried to lift it again, and despite being half emptied, still couldn't lift it from the ground.

If the front wheels aren't in the air when they lift a skip you haven't got your money's worth hehe
