im in the process of laying my driveway to fit 2 x cars on, the entrance to the driveway has been widened by nearly 3 metres which means i need to lower the kerb by this amount.
can i do this myself or do i have to get the council to do it?
do you have a rough estimate?

Council or a Council approved contractor will have do carry this work out.
You'll be looking at £500+ in order for this work to be carried out. Depending upon your location application fees range from £40 to £200!

£500 would be a good price anywhere now that the utility companies (gas/water/cable etc)) all charge for for their service drawings, cant remember the last time i actually priced for a kerb drop and got the job (as opposed to doing one for a mate/known client).
I think some guy came on here a year or two back saying he could do them for £300, not a chance if you are working to spec and paying for permits etc

Priced at circa £500 (+VAT) as it is only a 4 kerb (max) dropped extension of an existing.
Full construction of a standard (6No) crossover on a 1.7m footpath would be in the region of £725+VAT

You could do it for a lot less if you had a few on the go in the same area, but is never works out that way

But why sell yourself cheap? NR&SWA tickets aren't cheap nor easy to gain!
