In the process of pricing a job which in essence is fairly simple (approx 60 m2 Indian stone) however the access is ridiculous.
Closest materials/skips can be dropped is approx 30 metres from property in a car park and the only access to back garden is down a narrow (800mm)enclosed alleyway. (another 10 metres)
Anyone got any clues on how much extra labour time this will require in terms of shifting everything in and out. Done bad access jobs before but nothing like this ???

i seem to get them all the time ratty
if I think a job is say a week for 2 blokes, then if its bad access i would add another week for a mover i.e. barrower say £350
its not just materials its all your tools that you dont want to leave in a van miles away
I did a job in tring where the barrow run was 50m uphill (up steps even) and we had to barrow in 8m3

I looked at 80m3 blockpaving for a major car retailer in Luton yesterday, you know one of those ramps where they perch new motors, anyway theres no power,no water ,no where to park and no where to put a skip, and its right on the busiest roundabout in luton.
plus you have 300 brand new cars all around you so no dry cutting
other than that its a blinding little job :;):

If the alley is 800mm, then couldn't you hire a tracked dumper for a few days? if you get one like mine, its only 700 wide. It can take nearly 1/3 pallet of indian stone!
