Hi,

Hope this is the right place for some questions from a guy whos new to home projects... Especially dealling with a large amount of concrete.

What I've got is a back garden with a concrete path beside it which slopes down to a concrete patio which is below the level of the grass and path.

What I want to end up with is a gravel path with railway sleeper steps up to it.

I need advice on the following:

How to lay the sleeper steps... especially the first one which will be going onto the concrete patio.
How to replace a concrete path for a gravel one. Can I gravel over the concrete or am I going to have to dig it out
How to edge the gravel path. One side is fine as it goes up to the lawn which is edged in with concrete stones, but the other side goes up to a fence and I don't want the neighbours to have gravel spiling out into their garden.

Thanks for any help and advice you can give me with this!
