hi boys might be one for you tony next door to me is having house repointed.1930 house will be very dusty spoke with him and i said i hope they yous dust suppresion.today he said no they are just going to grind out i thought that was okay in the bad old days but not now ps he did not know i do this type of work as well but not by choice. we are in a street of houses i know the mess they will make just wanted to check legal side before i have to put on my angry head with the boys who are just doing there job.but will go to the top of the tree first and shake the branches all te way down.plus the new toys with hover att are more easy to use and see what you are doing as.cheers cookie :p :) :) :)

if they are using scaffold cookie i would expect them to sheet it up so that no dust or chips fly into your side
i have an arbortech but it is as slow as bad castor oil, and we only use it for grinding inside

TBH if the house really needs pointing there wont be much grinding out,
if they have to use grinders then chances are the pointing is ok

I had a similar thing 3 years ago when the vicar next door got a crowd of builders from 40 miles away to do his house==> fair enough

anyway they started cutting his pebbledash off with kangoes and it was splattering all over my brand new bay windows

there was a very intense site meeting during which their boss offered me a "good drink" to lay the patio

i told him to put it where the sun dont shine and sort out some protetction for my windows.

after that the workers were fine and i made them tea when i was about with a few biccies thrown in
