I need to lay a duct for an LPG gas pipe. Gas suppliers have said they would supply a length but as I have not decided who to go with and it will be some time before I am ready I want to lay my own. Problem is can't find anyone who does short lengths of yellow. What I have seen however, is the gas duct being described as perforated which seemed strange the only reason I can think of is that it would allow leak detection that much easier although with LPG being heavier than air I cant see this being much of an advantage. I have plenty of black 2inch duct would it be permissable to use this? Any info on this subject would be welcome.
Thanks

Dont know much about gas but i think it is yellow for a reason, like electric is red, and water is blue. If it ever needed to be excavated in the future and they find a black duct that maybe dismmissed as a bt cable and could cause a bit of confusion for the utilities mob.

Have a look on ebay theres always someone selling a dogend of ducting of some sort.

It maybe fine to use black duct, theres a few blokes on here that now about thi sort of thing.
