please could you advise on how many bags of cement I need per ton of ballast at a ratio of 6 to 1.

Chris, for your purposes a cubic metre of concrete would typically weigh about 2.3 tonnes of which c. 350 kg would be cement, 900kg each of sand and aggregate and the balance water.

A cube of concrete would cover 10 square metres at 10cm thick, 5 square metres at 20cm thick and so on...

we in wales being simple folk and hungry work out areas as slices of cake ie 10 slices at 100mm x 1000 mm is 1 cube and so on small slice s or big it allways works something to think on where is the spell check on here cheers cookie :) :) :)

cookie i use the spell checker ,which is an add on to firefox,
i write a sentence then have to change half of it because of red lines under misspelt words
LLL
go ===> firefox ===> tools ===> add ons ====>then search for British English dictionary 1.19
click on it and install it and away you go, no more spelling mistakes
punctuation and grammar,now theres another story :;):

We must'nt get away from the fact that this is a paving/drainage site, Not an English grammer site. As long as your work is in compliance who gives a f*** about sleplnig msiatkes ???
