I have bveen asked to do the groundwork for a childrens playground, I would be grateful for some help on the following if anyone has any experience

Dig out area for cable runway approx 33.5m x 4m to depth of 0.25m, supply battens and membrane and fill with loosefill once equipment installed.

Is this an ordinary geo-textile membrane or something special for loosefill, also I presume the battens would be ordinary roof batten jus to hold down the membrane. If it is a geotextile membrane how do I stop the edges fraying if there is no edging between it and the surrounding ground

Construct mound approx 7 m wide by 12 m long with compacted height of 2.5 metres using recycled materials and topsoil recovered from other excavations. Re-seed area once installation complete.

What is the minimum depth for topsoil?? Also, I presume I would have to build up the mound in layers and compact....what thickness would the layers be if I use a wacker

Thanks in advance for any help

terram 1000 etc needle punched wont fray, i'd use 3x1 tanilised nailed to some 1"x1"x 450mm pegs (any good timber yard has them) geotextile can be fastened to the back of them then your loose fill inside.

for the mound, depends on whats you use to build it. i'd use the outcoming from the excavation for the runway and compact and shape with machine, if you've got an 8 tonner etc just use the back of the grader bucket. i'd say minimum 100mm good top soil for proper good grass take up.
