been putting in 21 linear metres of 600x900 footings for a builder i play rugby with, got them all dug out to depth and carted away got all drainage in.

building inspector comes, ash tree with 8 metres wants us to go down to 1.55 metres as of the drying out factor in the medium clay. no problems is by the by.

take out all the drainage get back in across the footing and take them down to the depth.

call the building control office and booked a visit for this morning. nothing by 11am so i ring them they say he's on his way take my number and say they call back.

1pm nothing still, me my lad wagon with 3 ton on it, trailer with dumper sat around waiting concrete on standy by. ring again says he's been.

i was like he hasn't, but to cut a long story short girl in office had put it down as devonshire rd not devonshire park rd where he had been the day before. she held her hands up and said her fault but couldn't get us one out till monday.

brickies meant to be starting monday, call my dad who's been in the game 30 years plus, gets hold of head of building control half hour later building control guy turns up on his day off 3pm. says great job wish all jobs were as good and get on with it, took him 30 seconds. but missed slot at concrete.

so 7.30am 10m3 concrete coming. would have been really annoying if'd had to wait till monday, i hate waiting around. we greased all machines, cleaned cabs out, eat all food by 11haha. killing time is so boring.

been a bit of annoying job, 3 different sizes of salt glaze through out the footing, used 8 different sets of rubber adapters.

house is currently sat on 3 course stepped footing, has been for 60+ years

post some pics in a bit.

i don't but my man, is full class 1(C+E). he's 63 yr old, dads foreman started on drag lines 40 years ago, great worker.

but

Subcategory C1+E allows vehicles to be combined with a trailer over 750kgs MAM provided the combination does not exceed 12 tonnes MAM and the laden weight of the trailer does not exceed the unladen weight of the towing vehicle.
