hi all, new to this fantastic site and would appreiciate a bit of help/guidance
i have just taken up 100m2 of block paving from around my house as it was pointed out to me that it was level with my dpc, i have had the area excavated but can only go down 150mm as the house is built on rock,so my first question is will it be ok to put down only 60mm of mot type1 base,40mm of sand and a 50mm block
question 2 is as my dpc is being breached if i leave a 200mm gap from the buildingthen concrete in my soldier course whilst creating a drain under the pea gravel to take any water splash to a drain would this be suitable
Dpc dry area

If you have bedrock just 150mm below paving level, then I'd suggest regulating your levels with Type 1 to around 80mm thick (you can't really get away with less for reasons outlined here and then use a laying course of 25-30mm.
As for the dry area against the house, you want summat like the solution shown here
