i noticed there a lot of threads about rendering with many different approaches being given. as someone said in one of the threads: "there is almost an infinite number of ways which people carry out rendering".
because of this, i thought it best to just create another thread with the exact details of what we need to know.
we need to add cement rendering to aerated concrete blocks we are currently using to build a seating area, which will later be painted. the rendering will be over the vertical faces of the "walls" which make up the seating area, and be exposed to rain.
i'm looking to find out what ratio of materials is needed? what type of sand? what additives? and what is the best procedure?
cheers.
