We're planning to build a 6 metre by 7 metre wooden garage at the top of our garden but the ground slopes down towards the house, it's 80 cm higher at the top end than the bottom end.
How do we sort this? Do we dig down 80cm to get level then build a retaining wall at the higher end? Then lay a concrete slab?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

well you need a nearly level base for a garage, so you will have to build a U shaped retaining wall to get it level then infill
but really you need an engineer to advise you after a site visit,

do exactly what you said, dig into the hill and put a retaining wall there.
