Hi
I suppose everyone is familiar with using railway sleepers as retaining walls in the garden but does anyone know how high these can be.
I live in a semi rural area and the road outside the house doesnt have a footpath. The boundary is standard privet hedge and the front garden slopes from the house down to the road. I am experiencing soil erosion which I want to prevent. A brick wall is overkill hence the railway sleeper wall of say 3ft. Any suggestions, experiences, or issues with planning consent welcomed.
