Sloping grass path

I am laying a sloping grass path , about 30 ft long 3 ft wide down a bank with a gradient 0f 10 to 30 degrees. What are the options for reinforcing the path to stop it getting muddy and to prevent the turf/surface breaking up in the steeper parts.

I had wondered about
1) reinforcing with mesh that allows grass to grow through
2) inlaying stone cobbles or bricks into the grass at the steeper sections
3) are there specialist materials available to help with this problem

The steeper the path, the more effort needed to use it: the more effort required, the greater the stresses imposed on the surface and the greater the abrasion and degradation. Consequently, I don't think any grass surface would last very long and would suggest using a properly paved surfacing in its place.

The only chance of the path lasting for more than as eason would be to use of of the cellular matrix systems and hope that the plastic structure of the cells will provide sufficient protection for the grass. A mesh overlay is not a good idea - they tend to be slippery when they're wet and laid at a gradient.
