Hey Everyone,

I was wondering what I should be paying per tonne of type 1. I've been offered it at £14.50 per tonne and am looking at taking about 200 tonnes. I live in Birmingham if that makes any difference. Would love to hear your comments

After much ringing around the best price I could get, down in Dorset, was £15.50 (+vat) delivered, this was only on a 30 Ton quantity, the price did vary right up to nearly £23, so as long as you done the ring around I would suggest that is the local price.

Based on the quantity your buying, it isn't going to come in one lorry, have you thought about mixing a couple of loads of crushed concrete in I have been offered that at as low as £8 (+vat) per ton.

Mike :)

I paid £20/ton last week inc vat.
£14.50 is really cheap, might be worth having a look at it before you place the order, as I have seen a lot of rubbish around without any fines.

14.50 quid for 200 Tonnes isn't too bad. The main cost of aggs is the haulage, so the price depends on where you are and how far from the source. In B'ham, the Type 1 probably comes from the Peak District and should be around the same price as Type 1 delivered to Manchester/Liverpool, where it's currently 13-ish quid for bulk orders from regular trade customers.

I think you'll find it's actually "T bloody P", and it's sometimes preceded by the the adjective "thieving".

Aslong as the stone reaches BS EN13285:2003 you'll be fine.

hi

we are currently paying 10.60 per ton delivered 20ton loads with excess haulage on any thing under 16 ton. We use about 100 ton per week. But when we send the 7.5 ton tipper to collect we have to pay 13.50 figure that out

regards

Matthew
