I have never applied for planning permission before....
But I think I may now have a spot where I may be able to build a house...
Are there any good websites where I can get some house designs and dimensions so I can make an application?
I only want outline permission so I can flog the plot, hopefully before the UK market takes a dive if it is going to...

i know you have had bad experiences sean but surely just get an architect to do an outline plan, should cost no more than £250

I'm being a cheapskate and thought I'd do it myself and hopefully learn a bit at the same time...

10,000rpm HDD - the only thing that put me off those is the noise and increased "wear" running at that speed!
Nice RAM, I've got some of that, not cheap stuff!

Can we stop derailing my thread?
Creative Estates http://www.creativeestates.co.uk/ and WeberHaus http://www.weberhaus.co.uk/ have plans on their websites.
This brings me onto my next question...
On a site, a static caravan has been parked since late 2001. It had temporary planning permission but this has now lapsed (not sure when). But no one has complained about the caravan. Am I right in my belief that after five years one can apply to make it a permanent structure?
If so, I may be build able to build two houses.

Ted.
We do have some house plans on our website as noted but we have about another hundred that we could show you.
You may very well be eligible for planning approval under permitted development rights but I would suggest if you want to persue this that you talk to us so that we can "attack from the best angle". We can undertake any relevent drawing work, including starting from scratch with a design, right through to building reulation submission.
Please feel free to drop us a line on 0870 4328268 or take a look at our website http://www.creativeestates.co.uk
Regards
Creative Estates.
