Hello again!

I'm building a retaining wall out of sleepers. Now, I need to erect a fence.

Is it practical to fix the wooden fence posts to the sleepers?

I was thinking of either:

1. A metal rod sunk into the sleeper and the fence post "impaled" onto the top.
or,
2. Fixing the posts to the outside of the sleeper wall using a couple of timberlok screws.

Any advice would be great,

Thanks.

Personally i would put the posts in the ground as normal, then notch out the sleepers. if you have already built the "wall" it will be difficult to notch them, but achievable. otherwise erect posts on the outside. forget the spike on top idea tho.
