Evening all.
My first post here. Not in the trade so after some expert advice.
Between my rear garden wall and the road is a grass verge about 5' wide x 12' long, approx 10" high nearest the wall, sloping to the road.
For the last few years i've been pulling my van off the road and for most of the time it has remained solid. However with all the recent rainfall it's become a quagmire with a deep rut through the centre, thus compounding the problem.
The verge belongs to the council but I cut it and maintain it when it has grass on it (rarely) as does everybody else in the street.
The ideal would be to fill the rut with soil and leave it to settle but if I don't park there, somebody else will so that's not really an option. I'm therefore looking for a quick inexpensive fix that will firm the ground up and can be easily reinstated if the council get the hump!? It must look marginally attractive as well................
Any advice welcomed.......
