Cleaning poolside area? - Poolside cleaning advice pls!

howdy all, not sure if i am on the right topic site here but could not find anything that relates to my dilemma, i recently started up my own little business driveway cleaning, and thankfully not had a bad first few months, (roll on next year) anyway i wonder if any one in the brew cabin can advise me, i have been asked to do a quote to clean tiles around a swimming pool + spectator area + reception area which is lino and they want that re-sealed, can i power wash it on low pressure, or is there a chance i will damage the tiles, how do i clean & re-seal lino, what sealant do i use the same as i use for block paving or imprinted concrete, any advice will be appreciated, thank you.

Can't help you with the lino tile cleaning but one thing for sure you don't use the same sealer as you would use on block or pic paving.

With regards to the swimming pool, will it be empted before you atempt to clean this? What is it you have to clean off? depending on what you need to clean off will depend on what you use as the clorine in the pool if it is not empty would react with some chemicals that you might need.
Some more info would help as in what type of tiles are around the pool and do you have to clean inside the pool. Can you post a photo of the area to be cleaned.

thanks for your reply, i am making a site visit today to look at the job and give them a quote so i will know more about it then, they are asking for the walking area around the pool to be cleaned + the spectator area, and the changing room's

If the pool copings and the pavers around the pool are of the Marshalls/Bradstone cement based/oxide pigmented type. a power wash with the lance 2 feet away to start will work, approach closer at your peril, if they have cementitious dust and crud a 10% hydrochloric acid/clean cold water brushed on left for 3 - 5 mins and then washed off with a hose is fine. ALWAYS add the acid to the water!!!! Green algae can normally be removed (you'll have to ask a pool cleaning specialist about product) Black algae is an absolute B888tch and has to be manually scrubbed off.
Lino - sorry, not a clue.

hi,
the job is a council run swimming pool, they want the walking area around the pool, (not the pool itself) the whole of the spectator area, and both male & female changing rooms, all of those area's are tiled not sure what tiles ceramic i think, they are just everyday floor tiles they use in swimming pools, i think if i reduce the pressure on my power wash i should be able to clean them using my rotary cleaner without the need of chemicals just water, i was a little worried the pressure would damage the tiles but i think they a strong enough to withstand it, i have sorted the lino out, thanks again.
