My neighbour has put a new fence up and raised his garden by 12"-14" and has left us with a vertical edge of solid clay where his old fence used to support it. It is falling into ours constantly and the chunks of mud are breaking our delicate and young plants and killing them, there is mud on our garden path and when he waters the garden it makes it very slippery and it walks into our house.
Can we insist they build a retaining wall to support their raised garden? What sort of wall - height etc; would they need to build to support their garden and patio?
