I have bought an old rundown watermill which is situated at the bottom of a steep winding farm track. The track seems to have a good foundation but when we get heavy rain the track acts as a dry river bed and water cascades down the track washing it away. I intended to divert the water in to a gulley and have started that job. However this track is quite long and i could not afford to concrete it. I had thought of buying reuseable concrete sleepers to edge the track and then in fill, about 9inches of road plannings from Tarmac and then using a wacker plate compact the lot. What do you think. Any advice would be welcomed
