Hi,new to this forum and i would like to ask for some advice please have done searches most of the morning but cant find this out,
parents have a pic drive and now want a resin drive instead, they never really liked pic one after it was done about 4/5 years ago.
Is it ok to put a resin drive on top of pic or will their be a problem because of sealents etc in both.
thanks in advance

if its RBG,they could have it but the resin bonded gravel would follow the contours of the PIC ===> which would probably look rubbish,if its resin bound gravel then this would increase the height of the drive and would probably affect crossovers and distance to DPC levels
you need someone top look at it really

Thanks for reply,
somebody has looked at it and put a tester down, then never came back another company is suppposed to be coming in the next week or so,this is all new to me and i wasnt sure if it would work plus the strip he has put across will now not surely match and how are they supposed to remove it.

Hi.
We manufacture both resin bonded (Ronadeck Fast Grip) and resin bound surfacing (Ronadeck Resin Bound Surfacing System).
You have the option of using both, but, the PIC would need to be screeded or levelled smooth before laying bonded resin to avoid the pattern showing through.
If using resin bound, you could possibly lay directly onto the PIC.
If you want to give us a call we can get one our regular installers to visit and have a look.
