Hi There
This is my first time on here so please bear with me. I have a problem with my fence at the bottom of my garden (It keeps falling down). The ground is soft and very wet so I am thinking of digging a 3ft deep x 2ft wide x8.1m trench and back filling it with concrete and putting in 10ft concrete post's and then when the concrete has gone off putting in gravel boards to the height of 6ft. Will this make the wet soil problem worse also if I get a fencing contractor in to do this job what sort of price do you think I would be looking at

Regards

In very poor ground, creating a strip trench helps spread the loading, but may not be enough: you may need perpendicular braces to prevent the whole fence being pushed over in high winds.

I can't commenty on potential costs because I can't see the site, but there's be no harm in getting a few quotes just to see what sort of money would be involved.
