I am in the final stages of restoring a farmhouse, farm lane and yard in Ireland - on the Monaghan - Fermanagh border. Can anyone advise on availability of self-binding gravels in this area of Ireland. All I can find locally is a rather large broken slate material, it's a blue grey colour and has very large stone in it. I'd prefer a rather softer colour - more like Hoggin - and would want a self-binding material. The local slate based mix is certainly not self-binding!
All suggestions welcomed

There's no hoggin in Ireland - it's a product restricted to SE Eng-er-land where they have nowt else. In Ireland, the usual self-binding gravel is one of the limestones. Have you tried PJ Clarke over near Enniskillen?
