I have a client who wants to have a retaining wall made from round posts (probably 90mm diameter). The posts need to be higher out of the ground one end than the other - maximum height approx 680mm with lower end being approx 300mm. Can anyone advise on foundations required please?
Thank you
Sharon

Dig a trench roughly 300mm wide and 500mm deep. Place 50mm of concrete in the base, then position the posts as required. Backfill with concrete (C20 sort of strength) and, when it's hardened sufficiently, say a couple of days, saw down the tops of the posts to whatever height is preferred.
