Apart from cats liking 10 mill, is there any reason other then what you prefar, to use 10 mill or 20 mill gravel? for a low maintenance border, with pots to sit on,

Is the dpt1 calc the best one to use to work amounts out best?

Might find 10mm easier to place your pots on.
Gravel at 35mm thick will cover 15 - 20 sq. metres / Tonne.

20 mm gravel creates more voids and they are larger than would be found with a 10mm gravel. These voids collect detritus, so, in effect a 20mm gravel require more maintenance than a 10mm gravel.
