I will soon be erecting a "Storemore Bigone" metal clad garage to the side of my house. Storemore recommend a 5" concrete base layed onto compacted hardcore.
I currently have block pavers 60mm thick that have been properly layed onto hardcore and sharp sand and been well compacted down. Having used this area to park my car the pavers are well settled and have not sunk at all.
Would it be possible or wise to lay the concrete base on top of these pavers rather than remove them. I was hoping to reduce the thickness of the base believing the block pavers would give the support and strength needed.
The concrete base would be at least 1.5" thick and would be thicker where the ground slopes away.
Any support or recommendations on the issue would be greatly appreciated.
