want to know the best powered barrow?
try the tcp dumper (www.tcp.eu.com/sales/td.html)
Takes half a ton, is on tracks, passes through 700mm, and skiploads. The skip will even invert 180degrees so even the sticky mud comes out!
It is the best thing I ever brought. It does everything the muck truck does but more. It is more expensive, but mine paid for itself within a year.
If you want a demo, let me know and I will give you the phone number of the guy I dealt with.

I paid £6500 for mine (+vat)
Much more than a muck truck obviously. I was in the same boat as you, and didnt want to spend that much, so I financed it, and I paid it off after 6 months as It earnt me so much money.
Bearing in mind though, I needed something to complement my kubota 008. It was hard work barrowing into skips and falling off planks.
My dumper is great for turfing too. I can get 25M of turf in it, and turfing a back garden takes no time at all.
Let me know what you decide!

Will keep you posted m8 on what i get, the local hire center have one like yours in so i might give it a try on a dig out job.
Whats trade like in your neck of the woods, it's not bad here but you seem to get about a dozen companies starting a year here then after 6 months or so they finish.
I think Ground Farce has a lot of people thinking its easy money lol.
i am based in the isle of man where about are you?

I am in Hemel hempstead. Trade was slow after christmas, but now I am rushed off my feet!
We get a lot of pikeys coming and going, ripping off housholders, and we too get companies starting up, that dont last long. Its amazing how they manage to start up and do everything. plumbing, building, landscaping, carpentry, electrics, roofing!
I dont advertise except my website, and my other business, Crusher hire. Its all word of mouth. That way, i dont get timewasters, or pain in the a*** customers who moan about everything.
competition must be fierce where you are, as you cant disperse as widely i guess

Hi again
Nice Website m8 enjoyed looking through it i myself am going to get a website eventually but i have to get a new van, a crewcab tipper so i am saving like mad for that.
It is a bit mad over here for time wasters i can price about 5 or 6 jobs a week at times then hear nothing back but i sort of don't care anymore because the jobs i do get are always the good ones.
I do a design in with the quotation for free as a selling point and that works a treat.
I have been looking into tree work more and more as i did do a lot of it a few years ago when i worked for the local council here.
Do you have to have your certificates and stuff to be able to trade as a tree surgeon?
I also provide a hydro seeding service its a good money spinner but i am still working on that trying to sell it more.
I advertise in yellow pages and i find that is the best way all the cowboys use the local rag.
it costs me £2000 a year to advertise.
over here we have the same companies virtually will do any job.
i have always said a little knowledge is a dangerous thing lol.

Funnily enough I ordered a new crew cab tipper in november, and it is due on friday. I have had three cabstars, and this one is their latest, so I cant wait!
I lease my vehicles. Better tax advantage, and cash flow.
£2000. wow, thats a lot for adverts. sometimes though you have to do it
Nice chatting to you, let me know how your muck truck goes if you get one!
