Hello y'all

I would like to "clad" my brick steps with thin random sized slate pieces (kind of a vertical crazy paving idea) and wondered what render/cement/adhesive you would recommend?
Some of the pieces are only a couple of mm thick while the thickest would be 15mm(for the rough features).
Ideally I'd like to bed them so they're all fairly level and have the cement at a similar level too (oh and wouldn't it be nice if my fixer was a grey colour when dry ) :)
Any ideas?

Dave

A couple of options:

1 - M-Fix from Marshalls. It's not normally used for vertical applications, but it's available from nearly every BM and it works.

2 - A standard 4:1 mortar with a bonding additive such as Ronafix. This works out much cheaper than using M-Fix, but as you don't need a lot of 'product', the costs involved are fairly minimal, anyway.

Cool. Thanks, I'll nip out to my local BM and see what they have.
