Hello,
I have a gap between the public path way and the wall of my house. The gap is unsightly, but the pathway is higher than the damp proof level of the wall. This means that I have to be careful how I cover up the gap to prevent rising damp. There have been a few suggestions which included covering the gap with pea shingles. Somebody said the bricks will still get wet this way. Others say to use concrete and cement it up, with a downward slope away from the wall. What's your suggestion?
