It has taken ages but our garden path is now finished. Main reason for the delay has been a lack of decent weather for getting the work done. Anyway, we now have approx an 16 meter long meandering garden path in Bradstone carpets stones and jointed with Romex Patio.
Laying the carpet stones turned out to be much harder than I thought it was going to be, this coupled with the price of the things would stop me using them again. I'd use granite setts instead. But once we worked out that you need to prepare the bed of semi-dry mix (10 parts sharp sand: 1 part cement) carefully and just lay the carpets on top we got the job done.
Jointing with Romex Patio went really well, we did the whole lot in about five hours. This stuff is just so easy to use (hardest bit is mixing the resin with sand) it was a pleasure! I had got pretty down about the whole thing by the end, and several of the carpet stones were loose. But now they are all jointed I think the path will stand up to daily use, and I am really pleased with the result.
For the record we used 33 mats of carpets stones for which we needed 7 tins of Romex Patio.
