I'm planning on joining on to an existing 110mm run, I am going to use an equal junction with a section of pipe in one end.

I understand I need to cut the existing pipe the exact size, so as to reduce the chances of blockages.

My question is, would you always prefer to connecting using a plastic slip couplings over rubber flexible ones?

I am thinking two plastic slip couplings on each side would be best, but no sure if I will run into any problems putting them on the old pipe?

I would use slip collars.
