Hi,

recently embarked on a new patio project, started removing the old concrete slab and was greeted with a cracked clay pipe and some very stinky soggy soil. Dug down cut the clay pipe and fitted a new rectangular hopper.

The old kitchen waste pipes need replacing as they are too high above the drain and splash everywhere and was wondering if i could i connect new 40mm waste pipes directly into the hopper underground, and if possible, what would I need to do so.

Thanks!

You need to put in a trapped gully into a foul run. You can connect into the 40ml boss. Kitchen wast can't go into surface/storm pipe.
