I have recently inherited a house which will need to be sold in due course.
It is situated on a gentle slope, with farm land above and below. Clay soil.
Last week we noticed a trickle of water coming up from the drive, next to the garage. It's getting faster, but can't be mains water as the water to the property has been turned off by the water board. The water board came out and diagnosed ground water.
I have worked out that I need some sort of ditch to divert the water to somewhere else on the land but I have no idea who to call for help! Which trades would I call?
Any help or ideas would be hugely appreciated. I'm quite worried about the foundations of the house and garage.
