I am looking to connect a drainage channel to my current waste system (old crude hopper/p trap and 135 external diameter pipe - all clay). I want to put the drainage channel opposite the parellel house wall (1m ish way) and slope the patio towards it to keep water away from the house. My problem is that to connect to the existing clay pipe would be against the flow of current clay pipe. What is the easiest way around this? Do I need to move the drainage channels next to the house and slope the patio towards the house (surely I don't want to encourage water flow towards the house?). Could I go vertically down into the clay pipe from the drainage channels current proposed position and of so, how?

You need to be going into a pipe, channel, or gully. Flowing onto a patio is wrong.
