hello could anyone help me with ideas please im planning on paving the areas shown in the photos and im thinking of having a gradient towards the retaining wall , Could i create a channel against the wall and fill with stones / shingle ?, would i need to put a membrane down in the channel

Use an linear channel against the wall, not a strip of gravel or chippings

ok but there is no drainpoint along that wall unlike my patio area where im going to use a channel , where would the linear channel drain to please? thanks

I don't know -I'm not familiar with the site, but it's relatively easy to use pipework to connect it to the nearest available point.

thanks but do i need to do that when the rainwater atm drains away through the ground as it is ?

If you are paving over the area, the ground wil not be able to provide drainage, will it?
