Hello,
I am looking for some advice for drainage of my drive. It's a private drive that all properties have access to/over, it's down to me to maintain it, with costs to be shared but no one else will put their hand in their pocket. Drive is currently made up of hardcore and type one over clay ground.

Due to the nature of the ground it takes ages for rainwater to disappear and the lowest point is at the end of the path to my house. I know the drive needs levelling(to remove lumps and bumps) but it's the drainage I need sorting due to the laying water with cars up and down the drive making large lumps and large pot holes.
Hopefully you can see the photo to give you an idea.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Not a very good picture. Can you drain it through that kerb on right. Either put a gully in and pipe it under kerb or just remove a kerb.

There is no easy fix there, it needs foilling in and a fall to the kerb side.

Looks to be flat as hell, I don't think there is much you are going to be able to do with this area unless you can place some material to gain a camber/fall that is going to stay put.

Which puts stone/road planings out of the question, especially as it is a shared access. People don't/won't treat it with care.

If I remove the kerb the water will come further up my drive.
If I put a gulley in what am I going to run it into to get rid of the water.
Is a land drain possible if I put it on the left hand side?
Are you aloud to connect to a main sewer pipe?

It's one of those jobs that needs doing right, needs building up and no cheap solution really.
It's fairly typical of an unadopted rd.
