My neighbour has had a original concrete driveway between our two houses replaced by block paving. The boundary line is about 12 inches from our house, so between their block paving and our house wall, the builder has put some new concrete to replace the old.
This concrete is about 10mm lower than the edge of our neighbours block paving and runs all the way along the side of our house.
I have noticed that when it rains, the water pools in these areas against the brickwork of my house. It does seem to disappear quite quickly afterwards though.
The builder has put drainage channels each end of the drive and the paving does slope in each direction.
I would really like some advice, perhaps I'm worrying for nothing.

Is the new concrete rip the same level as the old concrete and why didn't the builder just block pave the lot? Hard to know without photos Colin.

Hi. Thanks for replying. The new concrete is slightly higher than the old concrete which was taken out. About 1 and a half bricks below damp course.
The builder block paved to the boundary line as agreed. I wanted the old concrete to stay in place but it was so badly damaged that it wasn't possible.
Shall I take a photo?

Hi. Here are some pictures of the edge of the block paving which defines the boundary line and the concrete which is our strip of land. The concrete runs along the length of our house and is about 10mm lower than the block paving. Ideally I wouldn't want the concrete raised much because its already one and a half bricks below damp course further along the wall.
Water does pool on the concrete against the brickwork of the house but does disappear a while afterwards. Is this a big problem or perhaps I'm worrying too much.
