My friend wants a new patio at the same level as the inside floor. The main reason for this is that she has 2 relatives with failing eyesight, so the current change in level is a problem.
The new patio would breach the DPC and 3 airbricks. It looks like the dry area arrangement would be the best solution, but then I'm worried about the trip hazard - particularly for people who can't see very well.
Is there an alternative solution?
Alternatively, is it possible to get a drain grill that could be attached to wall and paving at the same level as the final patio height so that there would no longer be a trip hazard?
Thanks
Jane
